Why us

IAAPS Ltd is part of the Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS) which is a new research institute that builds on 40 years of successful engagement with the UK automotive industries by the current propulsion research group. Critical to the delivery of IAAPS is a new £70m Research & Innovation facility which will establish IAAPS as a global centre of excellence supporting the delivery of future low and zero carbon passenger cars. The new facility will expand considerably the propulsion research conducted and is currently under construction at the Bristol and Bath Science Park and will be opened in early 2021.

What’s involved

Initially, you will focus on finalising the IT architecture for IAAPS Ltd and getting all relevant infrastructure, systems and 3rd party support in place, ready for IAAPS commissioning in late 2020 and opening in March 2021. Once IAAPS Ltd is operational, you will oversee the smooth, efficient and secure operation of all IT systems.

You will initially be based at our Bath campus, and once the facility is open you will move across to the Bristol and Baths Science Park.

What you’ll need

You will need to have proven experience  of developing, implementing and supporting IT solutions, ideally in a research or engineering environment.
