Cubik Innovation is in an exciting period of growth. We are continually working on large scale projects for consumer electronic products and assist smaller companies and inventors who need support with electronic design and software. Due to an increased demand for our design expertise, we are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join Cubik as a Design Engineer Intern at our office in Fishponds, Bristol.

The Role

You must be eager to learn, ready to get stuck in and prepared to be multi-disciplined as you work on a variety of exciting projects. On a day to day basis your tasks will include:

• PCB design and layout
• Schematic Drawing
• Bench Test and Measure
• Prototyping
• Small batch manufacture equipment
• EMC Testing
• Embedded Software (C)
• PC Software (VB .net/C++)
• Hand Soldering
• SMD Soldering
• Quote/Proposal Raising
• Suppliers/Customer communication

Skills and Experience

• Have completed or currently studying for an HND or Degree in Electronic Engineering or a similar subject

Ø Good Microsoft Office skills (Word/Excel/Powerpoint)

• A practical and enthusiastic approach to solving technical problems

Requirements

• A creative thinker with strong attention to detail within a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Collaborative, positive team player

This is full time paid internship that will commence in April 2020.

Salary: £15, 000 pa
