Software Engineer

The Centre for Modelling & Simulation (CFMS) has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer looking to further develop their career.  CFMS is an independent, not-for-profit specialist in digital engineering capability. As a trusted and neutral provider, our vision is to be the recognised, digital test bed for the design of high value engineering products and processes.  We seek an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team.

The Software Engineer’s role is to prototype and test bespoke software and support the Software Architect in the implementation of the Company’s current project portfolio, liaising with clients, prospective clients and suppliers.

The role will provide exposure to exciting and leading edge technologies and systems, with many opportunities to learn new skills working on a wide variety of projects. Key responsibilties include:

• Provide support to the wider technical team
• Developing and implementing solutions for CFMS use
• Supporting visits to CFMS by clients, prospective clients and suppliers

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant technical subject and have a minimum of 5 years Software Engineering experience in industry or academia.
